About Me
Hi, I’m Jaclyn
I used to believe that setting boundaries meant letting people down. That saying “no” was selfish. Like many of my clients, I tried to keep everyone else happy while silently burning out. I thought if I just worked harder, planned better, or pushed through the anxiety, things would finally feel under control.
But white-knuckling your way through life isn’t strength—it’s survival. And it’s exhausting.
If your mind is constantly spinning, if you overthink everything, and if anxiety has become your default setting—I see you. You’re not broken or failing. You’re just worn out from carrying too much for too long.
The truth is, if beating yourself up was going to make you feel better—it would have worked by now. But discovering self-compassion—Learning to soften your inner critic, honor your limits, and treat yourself with the same care you offer everyone else? That changes everything.
How I Work
I’m not the “just talk about your feelings” kind of therapist. I believe in real conversations, real strategies, and real change. I’ll challenge you, call you on your BS (kindly), and help you untangle the patterns that keep you stuck. We’ll laugh (a lot), and we’ll talk about everything—family stress, self-doubt, that awkward text you regret sending at 2 AM. Therapy with me is real, deep, and sometimes even fun.
Together, we’ll identify the patterns that keep you stuck. We’ll work on setting boundaries that don’t feel impossible, quieting the mental noise, and learning how to actually rest without guilt. You don’t need to keep pushing through. You need a different way forward.
The Professional Stuff
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania and North Carolina and the owner of JHB Therapy, LLC. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and my Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from the University of South Carolina. I specialized in Social Justice and Mental Health, two things that have always been passions of mine. I have spent the last decade and a half working with people from many different walks of life, helping them grow and overcome barriers.
My approach to therapy is holistic—I see you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. By considering the mind, body, and environment, I help clients navigate life’s challenges with strategies that fit their unique needs.
